United is offering flight discounts for CAMEX travel into Bush InterContinental Airport (IAH). Taxi Cabs

Taxis, shared ride shuttle services, and rental cars are available serving both airports. Taxi service to and from downtown for Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is approximately $52. Taxi fare to and from Hobby Airport (HOU) is approximately $26 with a late-night surcharge of $1 per trip (8 p.m.- 6 a.m.).

$6 Cab Fare Anywhere Downtown

The city of Houston has authorized Six in the City, a flat taxi fare of $6 for all trips in the downtown area. This will apply anywhere within the central business district. The fare, in addition to increased downtown taxi stands, provides easy access for meals and activities throughout the downtown area. No surcharges apply and the $6 fare accommodates multiple riders.

FREE Transportation in Downtown Houston on Greenlink!

Seven buses operate in downtown Houston, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., every 7-10 minutes. The 2.5-mile route connects Metro transit stops, the convention corridor, hotels, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Buses stop at popular downtown destinations including GreenStreet, George R. Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green, and Main Street Square. Greenlink also connects to Metro Park & Ride services and to the Main Street MetroRail line.
