Building Tomorrow’s Campus Store

New for CAMEX 2012 – This program will focus on successful programs and practices that are future focused and oriented toward the “College Store of 2015” and beyond! Everyone wants the magic answer to creating the perfect store of the future. One thing we know is that the path to a healthy future is paved with lots of ideas and initiative! This walk-through display format program will offer a “must see” showcase of programs and practices.

- Entries received by February 17, 2012, will be entered into a drawing for a $500 NACS Foundation Development Grant!

- People’s Choice Award - Attendees at CAMEX will cast their vote for the most innovative idea—with the top vote-getter winning a $500 NACS Foundation Development Grant!

Is your program or practice worth sharing?
- Does it exemplify an imaginative/innovative quality of a college store product, service, program, or practice?
- Is there opportunity for other college stores to benefit from your program or practice by adapting it to their operation?
- Does your program or practice enhance customer service?
- Has it generated additional revenue or reduced costs?

Submission Guidelines & Criteria
Submissions will be accepted October 31 through February 17, 2012. All submissions must be created using the Building Tomorrow’s Campus Store PowerPoint template, include no more than 10 slides, and use a minimum of 20pt font for text. Entry presentations should include the following basic information:

• Title Slide: Title of your idea, program, service, or solution
• Overview of your concept
• Outcomes/lessons learned
• Considerations for the future (things other stores should consider when adapting your idea)

Concepts should be submitted via e-mail to tellis@nacs.org and include your contact information. View sample entry.

NACS will print a color copy of each presentation to be displayed at CAMEX. Selected presentations will be displayed on boards in the Building Tomorrow’s Campus Store program area onsite at CAMEX—outside rooms 150 and 151 of the Salt Palace Convention Center. Entries received after February 17, 2012, will be displayed on site at CAMEX as space allows. All presentations will be posted online.
