Call For Presentations 2010
CAMEX is the premiere educational event of the collegiate retailing industry. This combination of professional education, networking opportunities, and the most extensive tradeshow in the industry, is designed specifically for you.
The 2010 CAMEX Program Committee invites college store professionals, campus administrators, NACS committees, and industry suppliers to submit presentation proposals for NACS' 87th CAMEX to be held in Orlando, FL, March 12-15, 2010. Educational sessions are scheduled for March 12-13, 2010.
The CAMEX educational program consists of approximately 80 educational sessions that are each 60 minutes in length.
Submit a proposal...if your session is selected, you will:
- Gain visibility, recognition of your expertise, and credibility within the industry.
- Participate in the growth of your profession by sharing your expertise with others.
- Benefit from the experience of making a presentation.
- Develop new networking opportunities as your peers acknowledge your expertise.
The only limits are your inspiration and willingness to participate.
The educational program of CAMEX is structured around the core competencies of the collegiate retail industry. Designed to bring practical and relevant information to CAMEX, the educational program will be comprised of a balance of programs that reflect the following competency areas:
- College Store Operations (CSO)
- Course Materials and Intellectual Property (CMIP)
- Leadership and Human Resources (LHR)
- Marketing and Campus Relations (MCR)
- Retailing (R)
- Business Stewardship (B)
Deadline
Presentation proposals must be received on or before Monday, June 29, 2009 to be considered. Notification of session acceptance will occur no later than the week ending Aug. 28, 2009.

Review Procedures and Notification
The 2010 CAMEX Program Committee will review all session proposals. Proposals submitted will be evaluated according to specific criteria. The review criteria include:
- Overall quality of the proposed session
- Timeliness of topic
- Relevance of content to the collegiate retail industry
- Session focus as outlined in the learning objectives
- Presentation experience of presenters
Industry suppliers submitting proposals should be aware that these sessions are not for company promotion. Presentations MUST be strictly educational in nature and industry suppliers are strongly encouraged to involve store members.
